The Daily Exhale: Hug A Tree
I have been having a crazy couple of days...things were not going the way I wanted them too, I was not feeling well and generally feeling a little overwhelmed when I realized it was only Tuesday and there was still plenty of time to regroup and make the most of the week. but first I needed to take a little breather. For me the best place to decompress and breathe is in the woods, which I am lucky enough to live in walking distance to the beautiful Centennial Park.
So here I am in the woods, talking myself through the tough stuff and releasing my worries to the trees. Best way to do that is get up close and personal...go hug a tree. Mother nature has wonderful healing powers and I know she can handle anything I release to her.
The next time you are feeling overwhelmed and anxious, go find a little piece of nature and touch it...feel it, smell the flowers, touch the leaves, hug the tree! Feel that negative energy release from you and send it on it's way!
Wishing you all peace and calm!

The Daily Exhale: Bath Time
Today was a busy day for me, doing a client move after a sleepless night was a tiring day. It is not often I have trouble sleeping but so much was going on in my head it just would not stop! One of my ways of coping with crazy days, tired body and running mind is to take some time out for bath time. Just 20 minutes soaking in a hot tub listening to some meditative music can totally change my day and the way my tired body feels.
If you find yourself stressed out and needing a break from the chaos, grab some epson salt, turn on the water and jump in for a bit of bath time! Your body, mind and spirit will thank you!
Happy Soaking!

The Daily Exhale: Vision Boards
Vision boards have been a yearly tradition for me over the past 10 years. I love the creative process of looking through magazines, dreaming about what I want to attract in my life, and of course the cutting and pasting is SO much fun...I am just a big kid after all.
Have you thought about what it is you want in your life...what you want your life to feel like? Creating a vision for your future is a powerful tool in keeping you focused on your why...on what you want! Take a deep breath, close your eyes and imagine what you want to attract in your life...now with this feeling go on a discovery to find pictures and words to describe that vision. Glue all those items on a board and voila...you have your very own Vision Board! Put that board somewhere you can see it EVERYDAY and then go take action to manifest your vision!
Happy Visioning Folks!

The Daily Exhale: Ice Storm Lessons
So we just spent 40 hours without power...yup you heard me 40 hours. Although that seems like a long time and it was getting pretty chilly in the house by day 2 I have to say that it was actually somewhat pleasant as well. I never realized how much noise surrounds us in our house, whether it is the fridge humming, the air exchanger blowing or the radio playing.
The instant silence was a refreshing change in this constant noisy world! I could think, I did lots of writting and it was just peaceful and calm! I challenge you to try and shut down some of the noise that is going on in your house. Turn off CNN, turn off the radio, turn off technology and see how it change the feeling in your home and how it can change the behaviour of those that are in your space.
and of course don't forget to take time to BREATHE!

The Daily Exhale: Affirmations
I start my morning routine by reading affirmations that keep me focused on my goals and keep my mind/thoughts positive. The power of keeping a positive mind focused on what you want is so important! I truly believe that where my mind goes, energy flows. If I find myself in a rut, I pay close attention to what I am thinking, it normally is my mind that is in a negative space. I can flip that pattern by simply shifting my brain to a more positive thought, it really can be that easy!
So I challenge you today to go write some affirmation, a few sentences, words that motivates you, inspires you or keeps you focus on what you want! Put those affirmations in a place (or places) where you see them EVERYDAY, even several times a day. Keep that mind of yours focused on the positive! and remember to BREATHE!
Keep affirming!
